Everyone has gifts, and everyone has the need to offer those gifts in service to others for the building of God's kingdom. If you would like to offer your time and talents to our faith community through volunteering at Christ the King, check out some of the current opportunities below. If your insterests line up with the parish's needs, please submit the form or click on the contact person's name and send an email to let us know.
Christ the King sends parish-wide mailings several times a year. Whether it is the quarterly King's Herald or the annual Christmas or Easter card, or something else, we need a group of people who might have an hour or two free during the workday to help afix mailing labels and stuff envelopes. This is a great activity that will enable you to meet knew people and have fun conversation while helping your parish. A message will be sent to those who sign up, letting them know ahead of time when the mailing will take place. Many hands make light work! Contact Pam Cullen.
On any given weekend, we usually have one or two bulletin inserts. We need people who might be available for an hour on Friday to stuff bulletins. This is a great activity for high school students looking for service hours. Contact Kelly Fanning.
We need people who are interested in helping behind-the-scenes during the 10am Mass, other special liturgies, weddings, and funerals by operating the camera system for our live streaming. This is a great opportunity for anyone who does not mind working solo and is able to pay close attention for an hour. The camera system is simple to use, and it's a lot of fun. Training is provided. Contact Patrick Cullen.
We need more case workers to take requests for material assistance (help with rent, utilities) from our helpline. Contact Tom Stewart.
For the last 30 years Christ the King has delivered hot meals to homebound people in our area through the Oklahoma County "Meals on Wheels" program. This ministry is especially vital today. We need two people to deliver already prepared hot meals every other Tuesday. There is no cooking involved, and the time commitment is less than 2 hours every other week. If you can help, please contact Kathy Arambula or Pam Cullen at 842-1483.
