Time

Time:   Time is a very precious gift.  Most of us feel we don’t have enough time for all the things we want to do.  Everyone is given the same amount of time:  24 hours each day, 168 hours each week.  What will you do with yours?

Time quickly can add up in doing things to enrich our faith lives:

• 5 minutes of prayer in the morning
• 10 minutes of reading and reflecting on a scripture passage
• 20 minutes family rosary
• 30 minutes of Adoration on Monday
• 60 minutes celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

These are some of the ways you can fill you time with holy activities:

• Going to Mass regularly including Holy days of obligation
• Attending Adoration once a week
• Praying the Rosary
• Reading the daily mass readings and reflecting in prayer
• Start and end my day with prayer
• Assist an individual or organization by serving the Lord through their needs
• Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3pm
• Participate in The Bible in a Year study
• Attend an ACTS retreat
• Join a Bible study
• Fasting
• Pray together as a family and discuss the faith together as a family regularly
• Daily examen of conscience during prayer
• Go to confession regularly
• Pray liturgy of the hours
• Attend first Friday Mass and / or First Saturday Mass the first of each month
• Offer up your suffering regularly for the souls in purgatory, offenses against the immaculate heart of Mary and Jesus’s sacred heart
• Pray Novena(s) for the special causes or intentions
