A native of Norman since 1960, Bob holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1976. Bob has been part of the singing scene at Christ the King since 1974 and became a cantor in 1976. He joined both the church and this parish not long after. He assumed assistant organist duties after studying with the late John Balka and Lance Massey while they were Directors at Christ the King
As assistant Music director, Bob wears many hats: from equipment mover to music library archivist, musical arranger and score producer for the adult choirs (especially the handbell choir, and brass choirs) as needed for parish Masses, maintenance and repair of handbells, substitute organist when Edwin is away, cantoring the major feasts of the year and many funerals and some weddings. Bob is also a full time handbell ringer and promoter.
