We come together at Mass to worship and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. We pray to be connected with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and to ask for His love and guidance and mercy. We may meet people after Mass or through the school or various ministries here at Christ the King. But in this time of upheaval it has become more difficult to connect with one another. We may be continuing to attend Mass virtually and not interacting in-person at this time. And many of us our missing that connection and struggling to find ways to be present to one another in this time.
When we join together in Faith Groups, either in-person or virtually, we can support one another in all that life throws our way. Faith Group allow us to connect with other members of the Christ the King community, people we may not otherwise meet, but with whom we can share how God works in our lives and share the joys and the struggles, finding authentic connection with other Christians. In Faith Groups we learn from each other, minister to one another, and pray for each other.
The purpose of these groups is simple: God’s people coming together to share their faith life authentically!
Group Format: A short video and questions are provided on each of the four topics: Prayer, Fasting, Almsgiving and Leisure. Handouts will be provided with the questions and with a little bit of Scripture and Catechism to help us expand our Catholic knowledge of the topic. Each session will end with the opportunity to make resolutions on that topic for the coming week. But the most important part of what we are doing is connecting and supporting one another in our faith.
Thank you for helping us to Build the Kingdom here on earth.

If, however, you are unable to sign up for a group at this time, all of the videos (above) and handouts (to the right) are available here for individual study and reflection.
WHEN: Any time, day or night, beginning the week of February 21st.
WHERE: Wherever you find yourself
COST: Free!
**These are the same videos and handouts from last Lent when our groups were cut short because of the quarantine. Our hope is we will be able to use them again this year to complete the study but also bring our experiences of this past year to our groups and possibly find a deeper, richer understanding of the topics.
