The online Parish Council election for the 2023-2026 term will begin Friday, May 19th, and extend through May 29th. The Parish Council serves in an executive capacity to advise the pastor regarding the spiritual, social, and educational life of the parish. The Council, together with the pastor, also approves the annual parish budget.

Family Information: Stan Evans has been a member of Christ the King since 2013. He was born in Lima, Peru where he was baptized. He took his 1st Communion at Santo Tomas De Aquino School in Caracas, Venezuela. Stan came to the United States in 1988 where his family attended Mass at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Dallas. Stan is married to Lindsey Evans, a native of Oklahoma City. They have two daughters, Elizabeth who is a rising sixth grader here at Christ the King, and Hannah, who is 2 1/2. They are also parents to SuperStan Evans who went to Heaven in 2018.
Occupation: Director of Sales at CFS Brands
Education: Marketing and Management degrees from Texas A&M MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University Certified Project Manager
Parish and Civic Activities: Since attending Christ the King, Stan has been very involved in the church by being an Eucharistic Minister, Usher and most recently a lector. Stan attended the men's ACTS retreat in spring, 2022 and just served on his first ACTS team this spring. Stan has also been in a number of other groups such as the CK Run committee and St. Joe's.
Special Qualifications: I believe my organizational skills, deep sense of community, strong faith, and willingness to help those in need would make me a great addition to the Parish Council.
I would like to be on the Parish Council because…: The Christ the King community has been such a supporting force for my family and me since we moved to OKC. I would love to earn this opportunity to continue to repay the love and kindness that has always been shown to us.

Family Information: My husband Joe and I have four grown children and 3 grandchildren. Our children Jason, Josh, Katie and Michael all attended Christ the King School. And our granddaughter Kinley is presently attending.

Parish and Civic Activities: Eucharistic Minister, Mobile Meals Volunteer for past 15 years,Funeral Meals Ministry, Marriage Prep Ministry with my husband, past School Board member, Afghan Refugee Volunteer.
Special Qualifications: Have been active in many ministries at CK over the last 35 years and feel my experiences can add value to new and ongoing parish activities.

Family Information: I've been married to my remarkable wife, Erin, for seven amazing years. In that time God has blessed us with a black labrador, Boone; Jon Franklin, Jr. (4 years old); Adelaide Louise (1.5 years old); and in early June, Erin and I are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our third, Mary Frances.

Special Qualifications: I bring a unique and holistic understanding to the Christ the King experience both from a historical perspective and as a stakeholder. I grew up in the Christ the King Parish and have witnessed firsthand the growth and evolution of the community over the past 30+ years. Perhaps more important is the multiple and unique viewpoints that I currently hold in the Parish. I am a Parishioner, an alumnus, a parent to current and future Christ the King students, a husband to a Christ the King faculty member, and an active participant in both small and large community groups. From this perspective, I'm afforded the opportunity to see the seemingly infinite angles, facets, and interconnectedness of the Christ the King community at large.
I would like to be on the Parish Council because…: Christ the King has always been a true home for me. I want to show my appreciation for this gift and work to ensure that our current and future community(ies) can experience this powerful presence of Christ within our Parish and beyond. I am both incredibly humbled and honored to have been nominated - Thank You.

Family Information: I have been married to Holly for nine years. From this fruitful marriage God has blessed us with three beautiful children: Simone who is 6, Naomi who is 3, and Roman who is 10 months old. Simone is currently a student at CK. We love attending Mass as a family, and talking to fellow parishioners at school or eating donuts. Building relationships with our CK family is our primary family goal.
Occupation: Science Teacher at Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School
Education: Christ The King and Bishop McGuinness graduate. Received a B.S. in Geology from the University of Oklahoma, and a M.S. in Geology from the University of New Mexico.
Parish and Civic Activities: My primary ministry is teaching high school science classes that are influenced with Catholic moral teaching. My wife and I are actively involved in the ACTS ministry at CK, where we help facilitate men's and women's retreats, and attend weekly group meetings. You can find my family and me every Sunday at 8am Mass. I have also assisted with confirmation at CK by participating in retreats and speaking at events.
Special Qualifications: Jesus and the Church are what guide me in all that I do. Nothing is decided unless prayerful discernment has been performed, and upon receiving the Holy Spirit's instructions, is it acted upon. Apart from my many academic and professional qualifications, I am truly a follower of of Christ and His mission for us in this world. I understand the complexity, but more often than not, simplicity of the Church. I have worked with members and staff within Christ the King and the Archdiocese as a whole, and I have a great intuition for the people, challenges and goals within our community.
I would like to be on the Parish Council because…: I would like to support Christ the King Church and Father Rex in any way I can. I would also like to be a face for Christ The King. One that is loving, merciful, and understanding of the needs of this parish and The Church. I would like to help bring CK into closer communion with the Archdiocese and the Church Jesus established.

Family Information: Married to Jeff for 35 years. We have 4 children. David-32, married to Braden, Sarah-24, married to Jake, Sam-15, and Cate 14. We also have 5 beautiful grandchildren that we love spending time with. All of our children have attended Christ the King School.
Occupation: Physical Therapist for Sooner Start Early Intervention, through State Dept. of Health
Education: Bachelor or Science in Physical Therapy from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center 1995.
Parish and Civic Activities: I am currently an ACTS core member and have served on two ACTS teams. I am a lector and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. I have been a member of the bell choir for many years. My husband Jeff and I have led a Bible study group on Wednesday evenings for at least 12 years. I have been on the funeral dinners committee, mom's in prayer, and involved in a variety of school activities throughout the years.
Special Qualifications: I have volunteered in many different areas of CK Church and School over the years and have insight into what is important to our community.
