As you have heard, Catholic Charities is developing a small neighborhood of micro houses to help people transition from the streets to stable housing. This development is called Caritas Casitas and is located in the Stockyard neighborhood. The units are approximately 350 sq. ft., with a nice bathroom, kitchen, and a washer/dryer combo. There is room for a queen size bed and a small sofa. There will be a wardrobe for clothing.
Christ the King collected enough money to purchase the larger items (beds/bedding, kitchen table/chairs, sofa, etc.) for two homes. We have put together an Amazon Wishlist for the smaller items needed to make each unit feel like "home." Your purchased items will be shipped directly to the Christ the King office for convenience.
