Many Catholics seem to stop actively learning about their faith and what it means to have a spiritual life once they are confirmed. Sometimes there will be a renewed interest at other sacramental milestones, such as marriage or the baptism of a child, but each of us should be aware that living a Christian life is more than simply going to Mass each week.
We are called to holiness. (No, holiness is not just for the sainted few!) We are called to a living relationship with our Living God, and this relationship can bring you more joy and strength than you could imagine.
Just like any relationship, though, it will wither if neglected.
It is our hope and prayer at Christ the King that each parishioner will find here something that will spark their interest in going deeper in the quest for God. We offer many Bible studies throughout the year, ACTS Retreats for both men and women, small group faith communities, and programs that focus on things like marriage, family, and daily life. We hope that these small groups will be a discipleship formation path for those who are seeking sustained spiritual growth and a closer walk with Jesus.
So look around at the resources that are offered at Christ the King and join us as we learn more and more reasons for loving him who first loved us.
