The Adult Choir begins rehearsing in September. Rehearsals are from 7-8:30pm in the choir room located in the lower level of the Parish Center. During December in preparation for Christmas Eve, and during Lent in preparation for Holy Week and Easter, rehearsals may be slightly longer. This choir sings mainly for the 10am Mass on Sundays, as well as for the primary Mass on major feast days. Anyone 18 years of age or older is welcome to join this choir. Previous choir experience or vocal training is required. The Adult Choir is directed by Edwin Day.
The Handbell Choir begins rehearsing in September. Rehearsals begin at 6pm in the church and last for one hour. The Handbell Choir plays, as scheduled, for all of the Masses except the 8am Mass on Sunday. It also plays for some major feast days. Anyone high school age or older who can read music well is invited to audition for this choir. The Handbell Choir is directed by Bob Shull.
The Christ the King Youth Choir is open to all children of the parish in 3rd-12th grade. The choir sings at one 12:15pm Mass each month and rehearses on the 3rd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6-7pm in the choir room, located in the lower level of the Parish Center.
All children who are interested and their parents will meet in the choir room after the 12:15pm Mass on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. At the meeting we will discuss the purpose and goals for the choir. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact CK School music instructor, Jonathan Gillis.
Registration for the meeting on Sept. 25th is not required, but if you would like to let Mr. Gillis know that you are coming, you may do so by completing and submitting the form here.
